Our mountain farm is located in South Tyrol, in Val di Funes, at an altitude of 1,996 m above sea level, in the heart of the Puez-Odle Nature Reserve. The peaceful natural scenery, the breathtaking 360° panoramic view of the majestic peaks of the Odle mountain range and the magnificent landscape of the Val di Funes valley make this one of South Tyrol’s most beautiful venues.

 

 

Back from a calm walk, from a mountain hike or from a mountain bike excursion, why not stop at our hut for a relaxing pause? It will be our pleasure to welcome you! Come and enjoy a refreshing beer in a shady spot of our sunny terrace, or a coffee accompanied by a slice of home-made cake or one of our tasty dishes in one of our typical lounges (locally called ‘stube’).

If instead you are seeking a special culinary experience, then Malga Geisler is the answer. Our kitchen prepares and serves genuine, home-made South Tyrolean specialties as well as typical dishes from the Italian and international repertoire with pride and passion in this lovely traditional South Tyrolean mountain hut. The staff is totally dedicated to preparing simple but tasty, wholesome dishes that are not only good but also elegant and presented with great care for detail. Indeed, the motto here being “looks also count”, our dishes are not just good but also inviting! So we can easily wish you ‘Bon appetit’ or “Mahlzeit”, as we say here in South Tyrol.

At Malga Geisler in South Tyrol, families with children will find a playground, a meadow for playing in and lots of things to discover, and groups of hikers and visitors are most welcome, but we suggest you all book ahead. If you can’t reach us on foot, then call us and we will arrange for a free shuttle service to pick you up. 

In our malga we can easily host family reunions and birthday parties or corporate events. If you are planning a class reunion or a corporate outing, then this is the right destination because we have plenty of space for hosting very large groups of guests. And why not plan to spend here the most important day of your life? You will find that our mountain hut is the ideal setting for a wedding reception.
